Caver Post - Yorskhire Dales to Mendips

Need to deliver two LiPo batteries to Bristol/Mendip area for DistoX2 builds.

Royal Mail do not permit LiPo batteries to be mailed unless they are already fitted inside an electrical device, hence the need for caver post.

LiPo's currently in York but could leave for pickup at Inglesport/Bernies in Ingleton or could meet someone in Dales.

They X ray them.

I should know, when they first started sending them back to us with letters threatening prosecution we checked.

There's a BCA Council meeting on Saturday 9th Jan. Someone from Mendip will surely be there. If you can get them to Derbyshire, I can take them.

I will be at the meeting, and Andy Eavis will too Kevin, so if you can get it to him (as he is quite near to you (relatively)) then I will deliver it onwards to Mendip.

Nick, I hope you got a new calendar for Christmas as the one you are currently using is no good... Saturday is the 11th...  :tease:

Thanks for the offer.

I will try and get them to the BCA meeting via Damian, just emailed him as I should be in Dales this weekend to drop off a few batteries for other people.

Many of the courier companies now refuse to carry LiPo batteries.
The few that do charge a small fortune.

OK batteries are with me. Who should I deliver them too? Or do the recipients want to collect them?

Les,
You should have got an email (03 Jan) from me direct which was copied to all of the battery recipients.

Each battery has been taped up and put in an individual envelope with the recipient name on the outside.
Up to them to contact you and arrange a pickup at a mutually convenient place and time.

Sounds like you did not get the email ?

I have found the email and mailed Phil
