I think they used the Caves Of Arta on Majorca to film Jason And The Argonauts about 3 decades ago (that scene with all the skeletons sword fighting).

Titan and other parts of Peak Cavern, Carsington Pasture Cave and Slaughter Stream (Wet Sink) are among those used in non-fiction programmes.

Thor's Cave (near Ashbourne) was used for the 1998 film 'The Lair of the White Worm'

I'm sure I also noticed Thors Cave in some 1960's horror film...

Was that the one in the Manifold Valley, Staffordshire - or the one near Ashbourne?

That's the one (either way) I walked to it from Ashbourne with no map about 10 years ago (and it was 1988 not '98!).

While you are on your quest for the Holy Grail there is the Cave of Caerbannog.

Watch out for the killer rabbit and the Black Beast of AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!

Technically a mine (Tullich) so does it count?

The military district in Monkton Farleigh was used for the first ever episode of Blake's Severn - The Way Back.

If you ask Tim the Enchanter he can take you to this cave. Difficult to find a helmet to fit him though!

League of Gentlemen Series 1 Episode 5- Treak Cliff Caverns (Stump Hole Caverns)

‘OLDER THAN THE DINOSAURS – STUMP HOLE CAVERNS – ROYSTON VASEY’S FINEST SHOWCASE’.

Not a lot of people know that Stump Hole Cavern takes it’s name from the crippled prostitute who plied her trade here in the 17th century. If you look carefully up there, you can still see her tariff etched into the limestone in soot....

Chislehurst Caves (actually mines) were used for Dr Who (the Mutants), Bliss (presumably the BBC drama romance of 1995),  NeverWhere (a disappointingly poor fantasy from Neil Gaiman), Randall & Hopkirk (deceased) and Inseminoid (rubbish SF nasty).

The recent Clint Eastwood production "Flags of our Fathers" was filmed near a group of caves in Iceland.  Trailers for the film show someone looking out of the partially walled up entrance to Hesthellir (Horse Cave), don't know if the cave gets a bigger part in the film though!

In 'The Lair of the White Worm' a Ken Russel film starring Hugh Grant, Thors Cave in the Manifold is very recognisable featured.

Aparently one of the cave sequences in one of the "count of Monte cristo" was filmed in comino caves, Malta
I don't have any piccies with me as the batteries in my camera died. Its rather hard to change batteries underwater

I.I.R.C. Wookey Hole was used again for a Noel Enema's Late Late Breakfast Show cave diving stunt ( remember, before He F*****-Up Royal, and killed that bloke on the bungee jump  ).

I also think that Goatchurch was recently used in the making of a Film School Project.
