I got a beautifully wrapped box which felt heavy and had me completely confused. When I opened it I found a scaffold clip! First time I ever had a joke present that's also really useful.
It made me laugh an' all!

A trip to Box Quarry (it many miles from Ponty' so free transport and a pint in the Quarryman's really good). 

Quarryman's is a really good pub but was so busy with Christmas hard to get seat, hard to have conversation.  Must return when it is not Christmas for a 'quiet' pint.

Didn't get anything caving related, so spent some money on this...

I showed my mother and told her I'd spent some of the money she gave me on it and she insisted on paying for it. Bonus.
