What's the likelyhood of getting into DYO this Friday or Saturday ?

er, beg to differ, sir.

Satellite shows Atlantic depression sweeping in very shortly with about a 3,000 mile long cloud tail aimed for us: my guess is the weather at the weekend will be shite. With luck, I'll be proven wrong and will be able to top up my tan.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Wet and windy in the north on Friday, dry and brighter in the south. Rain spreading south on Saturday, with the north brightening up. Most parts fine on Sunday.

If you've got the choice I would definitely aim for Friday. Forecast for Saturday is not good and if it stays that way it is doubtful that the showcave staff will allow you to enter the cave in any case.

Personally, I'd be perfectly happy going there on Friday with the forecast as it is and water levels as they are. Wouldn't even consider it on Saturday at the moment.

Naturally, it is worth checking the forecast again nearer the time just in case it has changed (either way).

On Sunday morning the cave was flooded completely back up to the parting of the ways in the showcave.

It would be worth a call to the showcave to check before making a trip across.
