Hi everyone
The seventh in this series of CNCC newsletters has just been published and can be viewed here:
https://cncc.org.uk/publications/downloads/CNCC_Newsletter_Issue7_Feb2018.pdf
For those of you who do not regularly read newsletters from Regional Councils, I would urge that now is the time to make an exception. We report encouraging news about the ongoing work to establish an online cave booking system, which will (we hope) supersede the current permit system on Ingleborough, and eventually Leck and Casterton Fells. This represents one of the biggest potential changes to cave access in our region for decades, so all northern cavers should be aware of the work that is ongoing here.
We also have news about some new rigging topos, changes to access at Fairy Holes, Penyghent and Dale Head (which have already been reported on this forum), plus news about training opportunities, anchors, efforts to promote caving in our region and other interesting bits and pieces.
Finally, I would like to remind everyone that the 10th of March is the CNCC AGM; 10am at Hellifield Village Institute. Agenda and other documents are already on our website meetings page and reports will be posted there early next week. All are welcome. The meeting will include a presentation of the draft online cave booking system for anyone who is interested in a sneak peak. Full member clubs; please don't forget your letter of authorisation to exchange for your voting card.
Thanks!
