Lots of introductions to caving done here, in particular
Ingleborough Hall also provides ... National Governing Body training and assessment for the BCA Local Cave Leader Scheme.

Bradford have a second outdoor centre: Buckden House

Makes sense when it needs a fortune spending on it bring it up to standard and you have to find £40 million saving this year.

Run Buck House with all stuff from there or 2 part used places.

Front line services at CBMDC are stretched to breaking point.... (not saying anything else as its political)

I assume that Bradford bought it for a song when stately homes were generally unwanted, relatively cheap and could be converted into youth hostel-like accommodation for peanuts. If you were starting an outdoor centre today, you wouldn't pick a listed (I assume), tumbledown moneypit. Ignoring the maintenance costs, making it environmentally acceptable would cost a fortune (I know - on a much smaller scale I'm trying to make my very elderly house more sustainable). The only difficulty I can envisage is that there may be a shortage of oligarchs to buy it.....

Several similar buildings in the area have been turned into luxury apartments with shared grounds. Probably the only way it works.

I got about a tenth of the way down that first one before I had to give up due to fat pills/penis enlarger/wart cream adverts.

I suppose they know my deficiencies/requirements somehow but what a shit news outlet the Craven Herald is!

Off topic: I'm not plagued by these things. Ditch Chrome. Google will be introducing "Manifest V3" to its browser soon, which will break existing ad blockers. Use Firefox instead and install "uBlock Origin" to start with. "uMatrix" is very good too, but requires skill and tweaking to get some sites to work. This can be worked around be opening the page in a "New Private Window" - by default extensions are disabled there. I can recommend "Cookie Autodelete" and "I don't care about Cookies", too.
