I did it twice in August this year. All the ropes were in really good condition. The boat was fine and a new pulley system has been setup to move the boat from one side of the lake to the other. The tyrolean across the first big lake (after the two 30m abseils) has now been removed and replaced with two really nice wires (one for your feet and one for your hands).
Lots of thanks to the people who put all the time and effort in maintaining the place.
Was posted here on a couple of times earlier this year the "up" rope on the Rhosydd side of chamber of horrors had been cut and thrown in the water (speculation: someone not wanting tourism during covid?).
Anyhow someone very kindly put some bolts so a member of your party could climb up or aid up that 5 metres or so with 2 cows tails and 2 footloops etc in the worst case. Make sure you carry rope just in case the vandals came back since Greg's last visit
The rope down to the boat was fine, I used a Petzl Stop on it without any issue.
The 'Up' rope out of the lake at the other end was also OK, but as Cantclimbtom said, there are now a line of bolts so you can climb up if the rope is damaged/missing.
