I understood OH to be a well known abbreviation, apologies if not.
I'm sure it is well known. I'm just a bit of a dinosaur and always struggle with such abbreviations. As you can probably appreciate, texts sent by me tend to be rather long-winded affairs.

Apologies, it's called an indirect anagram. Wikipedia suggests they are now considered unfair, so I won't do any more!
I thought it was one of the better clues we've had for a while.

I'm a bit snowed under just now, but will try to come up with something later today.

This one shouldn't be too hard... although it may feature an indirect anagram... sorry.

"Animated tall tales featuring half of a half-pint subterranean explorer" (6, 7)

An animated version of "yarns gill caver" gives me Aygill Caverns… but with an R left over?
Oops. That will teach me to come up with clues in a hurry. Anyway, you've managed to solve it even with a faulty clue. Give yourself an extra point.

Only "yarns" needs to be animated, which then features (i.e. includes) "gill cave(r)".

Back to you...

No anagrams in this one:

Something you might find on one side of a fish out of water is sometimes compressed into a horse

Booze=Rum, Jewels=Bling, Rumbling Hole fits the letter count. I don't have a copy of NC3 but I think it's the right area. I don't know what to do with 'n' or hot fabulous, and can't find anything leading to 'Hole'. Having half a solution is constraining my thinking so I'm posting to find out if I'm on the right track.
