Curry inlet - Notts II

On a visit to Notts II today we found several places of deliberate muddying of formations. Why do cavers grab hold of formations with their muddy paws when there is a perfectly obvious taped route round them. I makes my blood boil!
We got most of it off with water but it needs some delicate nail brush work before they get engrained permanately.

Rather disappointing news  :mad:

At this rate Notts II will soon look like Ease Gill - nice, but a shadow of its former self.

I think some of the tape needs replacing in Curry inlet, went in there on a Lost Johns permit on Saturday (from Lost Johns) and quite a bit of tape looks like it has been trampled under the mud and was barely visible.
