Daytime Road Closures Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Ribblehead

Residents have received the attached information about night and daytime road closures.

The main one to point out is from just north of Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Ribblehead as this is a daytime closure from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm. The dates projected are from Monday 13th June for 7 days but this could change.

The signs up have been misleading a lot of the time with the road from Helwith Bridge to Horton saying closed between 19.00 and midnight on Friday went there was no work being done. 

Be Warned that the road up to Ribblehead is getting closed, at least at times, and it is therefore very unpredicatable. One friend has been unable to get home after work this lunchtime due to the road being closed near his house.

I was up there yesterday, road closed at Ribblehead, but they were very pleasant about allowing me through to access  the Salt Lake Cottages road. I guess there will be times when you can't get through, but it seems to be worth asking. Roadworks and closures scheduled for the rest of this week.

It says 6th of june on the e-mail so is it still shut today, am suppose to be going up to do a trip down Washfold.

6th june was for the works from settle-horton, the closure from horton to ribblehead was scheduled for a week from 13th, so yes, still closed today.

Luckily I arrived before 7 and left after midnight but it did not look like they did much.

The road closures last week were for during the day so the road was due to be open by 5.00 pm. The week before was just evenings.

Latest update as far as we know from talking to the workmen is that it is complete now. They have just done repairs and do not intend to resurface until next year. That was the story on Thursday morning.

I was up there on Monday - all clear.

The minor road on the other side of the river below Langcliffe has closures on it, but I didn't pay attention to details.
