I replied no - but I mean "sort of"

Nigel and Mik Starr held it for fellow members of the Eldon.
Nigel Atkins did a morning of advanced srt and rescue techniques etc at pindale and Mik Starr did an afternoon session (in the pub) of basic *practical* cave first aid - i.e. what you can realistically do.

It really was a good laugh and I would recommend all cavers should attend one - It would certainly half the no. of call outs for rescue teams.

One suggestion is it could be done per club - rather than open forum style - i.e. SUSS one week - Eldon the next - Orpheus etc etc etc.

Another thought - is there to be some sort of stomp/party/piss up afterwards.
Sounds like a good excuse and may help attract a few more people who would otherwise not bother.

I went to one in about 2000 or 2001 at pindale.

There was a stomp on the Saturday night at the cement works social club organised by the Eldon. The main band were The Thin Men and mine and Sticks band went on first.
One poor sod landed flat on his face in the mosh and broke his teeth.

On the Friday night Moose did his Titan presentation at one of the pubs in Hope.
