If the wookey terminal sump continues at -30 O.D. towards templeton at 252 O.D. the depth below the surface will be 282mtrs  which is potentially the deepest passage below surface level on mendip. So if the templeton diggers manage to intersect it, they will also have the deepest mineshaft on mendip. two records in one.

That's the plan. How's your adit?  ;)

my adit is going fine thanks, we're digging it coffin adit size along the roof of the NATURAL CAVE PASSAGE for ease of working. We've even built a nice dry stone wall round the entrance, to stop the cows from skydiving down the NATURAL CAVE ENTRANCE shaft, when we're down there. ;)

Excellent stuff!

Sounds like the NATURAL CAVE ENTRANCE and NATURAL CAVE PASSAGE we're following. It's hard work scraping out the scallops by hand though!, and I hope the super glue holds the flowstone in place ;).

We use a dremmel tool for the scallops and the digging is going so well we've run out of the stal we half inched from GB and White pit . Although I'm meeting a guy in the hunters :beer:on friday who says he can get us some european stuff and a couple of bison paintings at cost. When the're installed I'll have to get graham to take a look.  ;)

Don't get the detail wrong, at Wookey you'll want horse and woolly rhino, not bison ;)

If you already have the bison and no longer need it, it might be of use for a caving cottage somewhere. They might be able to exchange it for some wooly lino, which is a bu88er to vacuum.

Good point Graham, We want it to be as authentic as possible. How about bear skulls, we could borrow one from wells museum.

Would a bulk order get the paintings at a better price? - I'll have a word with the crew tonight and we'll have a whip-round!  ;)

PS Hadn't considered a dremmel tool. Bloody good idea  (y)

He says he can do discounts on horse but wooly rhino is top whack for rarity. Although he thought you might be more interested in an Ex NCB Pit head winding gear, and NCB surplus mobile, bath house, he's got lying around. ;)

He can also do a box cutter for cutting alcoves for candle stumps, for that authentic touch. Does a nice line in davy lamps too.
