Can anyone recommend a good guidebook for Derbyshire caves... prefferably one that lists every single cave, including all the short nasty scrotty ones, like Northern Caves does for Yorkshire. Ta.

Dave Elliott's "Caves of Northern Derbyshire" series, published in the 70s, is still very useful for the Castleton catchment.

"Caves Of The Peak District" is an excellent reference source (and a new edition is currently in the pipeline).

I would agree with pitlamp. What you want is "Caves of the Peak District" - but as it is out of print, keep an eye on eBay where copies sometimes appear for sale (but not cheap...).

The new edition is currently being prepared and is scheduled for publication next Spring.

So, if you have any new discoveries or information, contact Iain Barker access-off@thedca.org.uk .

You can get COPD on an interlibrary loan. Has to go back but it lists everything that was there back in 1991 or whenever it was made. Otherwise www.hnh.dircon.co.uk, then follow links to the peak caving website and online caves guide.
