dig site near Great Douk

Anyone have any info about the abandoned dig site in the Great Douk enclosure?
The scaffolding looks in reasonable nick and I was just wondering what I might find at the bottom if I inadvertently found myself climbing down tomorrow  :-\

I seem to recall (and survey backs it up) a crawl for a bit which enlarges as it reaches a pitch into a chamber, further scaffold shaft in floor and not too much after it. A short extension to the day after a jolly through Great Douk Cave.

Thanks guys, that was really quick. I'm suprised that my search didn't turn up that thread.
If by chance we do pop down tomorrow I'll be sure to update the thread with any fresh information.

You should read more of your own club journals Simon.  ;)

Yup, reckon you're right there ::)

Had a great trip out through Great Douk to middle washfold. As it turns out I declined the opportunity to descend the dig site as I had my lad in tow but some mates of mine did pop in for a look-see. Apparently its pretty much as described above, they only went as far as the pitch head though. Ladders and scaffolding in pretty good nick although some of the wooden boards holding back the shaft walls look in a bit of a sorry state.
