DYO leader 13-14 March 2010

I'm trying to find a dan yr ogof leader for the 13-14th March. I've tried to find some info online as to how i go about it, but the new acces website is not very helpfull...

I'm organising a Reading University Caving Club reunion trip, and wanted to make a danny trip. preferably two, as the group's quite big, and there is always loads of interest in these.

So if you could give me some pointers about how i go about finding leaders (and if i need permits as well?) i'd be really gratefull.

You'll find a leader by contacting the secretary of the DYOCAC, who will then email all the current leaders asking if anyone wants to volunteer to take a trip(s) on your suggested date(s).

You will need to show the trip leader that everyone on the trip has public liability cover - see point 5.

Hi Jo,

Trips into DYO have to be led by a Warden with up to 4 additional people. All in the party will have to have BCA insurance and if you plan to do the round trip and go through the Green Canal, as most people tend to do you will need to have wetsuits.

If this post generates some volunteers for your trip then great, otherwise if you have no response then PM me and I will send out an email direct to our wardens to elicit volunteers that way.

Danny has some lakes just beyond the showcave that flood to the roof after significant rainfall, so plan yourself a backup trip just in case the weather is not with you.
