There are some good places to visit along the High Level Route (Diamond Hall, Minarets, the Halberdiers, Painter's Palette etc) which is accessible in all but the worst conditions via Lancaster Hole or through County via the Manchester Bypass.

However, please see below a recently circulated message about access to Leck Fell and Casterton Fell.

It would be a shame if access became more of a problem than it currently is.

Unauthorised access to Leck and Casterton Fells is becoming a problem, especially Leck Fell and Shuttleworth Pot. These unauthorised access issues are hampering the negotiations with the land agent and to date I have not received the new agreement for Leck Fell. If your club or group is going to have a peek down Shuttleworth Pot please discourage them from visiting Leck and Casterton unless they have a permit. Shuttleworth permits are available for the next period (July-March), and give me a chance to sort out the problems.

Easter Grotto via Gypsum cavern (staying out of Thackkrays Passage which might not be fun in the wet), Magic Roundabout, Spiral Staircase (not too sure if this is more flood prone than Wrteched Rabbit),  Gour Hall in Pippikin.

All the water that used to go down Wretched Rabbit now goes down Spiral Staircase, and the entrance to it varies from unpleasant to downright nasty in wet weather. You can get up from the bottom in all but extreme weather as you can get to it through Upper Geen n Smelly.
