Was on a trip down Top Sink at the weekend, and went through Nagasaki Chamber. When passing under the Rock of Ages, I noticed a scar on it that I hadn't seen before.
When you enter Nagasaki, you pass under the Rock while following the right hand wall. If you look between the Rock and the wall just before you pop out from under it, you can see the point of contact on the wall has carved a scar into the right hand face of the Rock. It looks relatively fresh to my untrained eyes, but obviously without any reference it's impossible to say the time scale in which this happened. I think it was about 20 cm long.
Has anyone else noticed this? If so, when was it and how large was the scar? It might be worth anyone planning a trip down Top to have a look and report back if there's any change.
