Some people on Ebay need their heads examing, there is a Petzl Ecrin
Roc currently going for £44.50 with £5 P&P - and they are still bidding,
apparently the guy bought it for £60.

Ebay Item

Well i think he was ripped off.

You can buy this helmet for £39 Brand New.

I tell you it's utter maddness

i've often bought stuff off eBay then sold it a few weeks later on eBay for more! I like idiots sometimes.

it always tickles me when they have an auction for an item starting bid say £35, buy it now erm £35 why cant they see that they are making the auction completely redundant by doing that? If i put a buy it now price on i always make it around the price its likely to make (maybe more) (or a v high price if its something really lucrative) or just put a buy it now price on it without the auction lol
it also amuses me when people fill up their item title with things like "L@@k at this" rather than with several words people are likely to search for.

Oh well, Idiots, Happy Bidding

People seem to get bidding fever - I've often seen items going for more than you could get them in a shop. Daft, but true.

It gives you a good feeling when you have idiots bidding on what you are selling :D

I only buy stuff that is respectable (read that as cheap) in price, can't understand why people don't look around at other prices before they buy!?

Didnt somebody buy a game cube box, or something similar, on ebay once- then complain when they got sent just that, a box for a game cube. Supposedly the seller got away as he hadn't done anything wrong. I thought it was brilliant!
I have to admit never having brought anything off ebay, i'm far too techno-phobic, but may flatmate does lots- he even sold an old copy of NC1 (sorry, an abbreviation, northern caves one  ) for 20 some quid- having brought it for just £2.... thats got to be ebay madness- there are hundreds of copies floating round second hand bookshops all over the country for about a fiver!

yeah thats right (re the xbox box) , there was also a case where people were selling raffle tickets for £1 each to win a PS2 (the auction looked a bit like you were gonna get a PS2 for a £1 until you read it properly) n unless all 150 tickets were sold the raffle would not be drawn but you wouldnt get your money back

TubbyTwo why are you technophobic? Take the plunge and dive in, see what fun you can have! I once was a technophobe too, before i wrote my first website i hadnt ever downloaded software from a cdrom, now i write websites, buy n sell stuff on ebay, do my grocery shopping online , use it for banking, talk to friends (and annoy people!! ) using Instant messaging, the list is endless!! Give it a go!!! Dare you

TubbyTwo why are you technophobic?

Becouse i was always better at climbing trees that computer games, and i still am! I dont even really like mobile phones- too much like people being able to find you anywhere for me.

Maybe ill try in a few years when i can afford internet bills at home. Although it would be handy as i do need some new ice axes and they look cheap on ebay.. unless someone else just gave up climbing and wants to sell me a pair?!?

I have one myself - best bet is turn the bloody thing off and communicate with people when you want to not when they want to!!! :D

What, like when your up a tree?
If you've ever been up a tree then you wouldn't want to be found!

I agree with Dunc, switch the darned thing off - mobiles are there for your emergencies not other peoples. Also be selective who you give your number to, so you dont get plagued by idiots.

I was crap @ computer games, i never managed to get above level 2 on Chucky Egg ( n was brill @ climbing trees!) but it never stopped me from having a go with a comp :D

Internet Access has never been quicker or cheaper get an anytime package that allows you to play as long as you want for about the price as a couple of pints o beer a week :D

Computers are fun!!

Learning SRT in trees is fine and in some places standard practice!
