El Torcal, Antequera, Spain

I'm going to be in Antequera in February visiting the Sister-in-law. On a previous visit we had a wander round the Torcal park, it's an impressive area of Karst and a quick google comes up with lots of brief references to caves but no real specifics.

Anyone aware of any cave systems there? Ideally suitable for walk in's with just a helmet and a light?

Is there perhaps a book........... :-\

See http://aguas.igme.es/igme/publica/libro103/pdf/lib103/capiII_05.pdf - page 161 lists some stuff, most of it seems to be very vertical.

http://espeleovirtual.blogspot.com/2010/02/xxi-jornadas-torcal-de-antequera-2010.html mentions La Cueva de Ardales and La Cueva de las Palomas de Teba. These 2 caves are also mentioned in http://www.fedespeleocyl.com/noticias/TRIPTICO%20JORNADAS%20SEDECK.pdf.

Cheers Robert

After a bit more googling I had found the first link, however the others are interesting. It does look as if it is mainly vertical stuff but that's perhaps no real suprise.

I'll probably not have access to a car so may just mooch about and see what I come across  8)
