Remember it's a wide-angle lens on that second shot, so it probably isn't as big as it looks ;)

Yeah, it looks like it could well be an interesting spot (thanks Rob for and pwhole); I'm not sure I've ever been up to that bit either. I certainly can't remember anyway; it would be at least 10 years since I last visited.

Ben - let us know how you get on!Β  (y)

When you get to the foot of the second pitch, there's usually time to nip up to North West Chamber while the others are removing their SRT rigs in preparation for passing through the Gates.

If Cussey is anything to go by, it would be worth looking out for any strong outward draughts...

I think John Beck was quite interested in the tube on the left wall of NW Chamber, heading SE, and was digging it until tom Proctor found the way on at the Pearly Gates.

I agree with Rob about the potential for new draughts as things have definitely changed in Eyam

For the benefit of those "not in the know" - I take it you mean ventilation devices in underground work areas and not keen followers of a particular sport.

Erm - yes, ventilation fans - sorry. Although following them as a sport has always been interesting ;)

I would have thought [name removed]. Assuming the pumps are running and the route through to the sough is open (not flooded) then any forced ventilation at [name removed] could be blowing through to Eyam / Stoney.

Good grief, there are maps and roadsigns available. Even StreetView. Hahah. Keeping things below the radar is default. Mods! Guillotine request ;)
