Sadly too many competing interests and lack of space means that I need to thin out my gear. I have assorted slings, krabs, maillons, rope bags, 30m of rope, ascenders etc that need a new home. I also have a Nova Plus lamp/helmet and charger and guidebooks to include the complete Northern Caves series and Caves of the Peak District to shed as well.  I'm not too fussed about a selling price for the bits but a sensible offer for the lamp and guide books would not be refused. All can be viewed/collected at my workplace in the Hope Valley. Please PM if interested. Cheers, David

Dave, Ric and myself want to have a chat before you sell off lamp - not worried about guide bks. We want to keep you involved in our miserable hobby!

Are you still looking to create more space by thinning out your gear? Just getting into this strange sport.  What do you have and how much would you be looking for?

Lots of folk have shown interest but I can't say a path has been beaten to my door for the assorted gear. I realise that some are rightly wary of second-hand slings, krabs etc but that's what you use when you share mates gear on trips anyway. For the record I have:

20m x 10mm rope and bag (approx 2 years very light use, tagged and dated 2009)
40m x 10mm rope without bag but condition as above
1x Petzl Rack (used once)
Petzl Croll
6 x 6ft sewn slings with screwgate krabs
Assorted plain krabs and a few maillons
A bag of new bolt hangers and bolts for standard spits
Petzl Helmet with Nova Plus lamp and charger

Ideally I would like to clear it all out in one hit so if anybody is passing through Hope (Derbyshire) and wants to take a look, then pm me for further details. I really do need the space so I'm not out to make a killing cash wise. However a sensible offer for the lamp/helmet combo would be appreciated. It's either that or I put it all on eBay which is something I would prefer to avoid if possible.

Silly question: what is a krab? Other than a critter that lives on beaches and such. Considering it was put with mallions in the same sentence perhaps krab = 'biner? (aka carabiner)?
