Giants Hole - Garland's Traverse

In all the times I've been down Giants I'm almost ashamed to admit I've never gone round the traverse (opposite the normal P hanger route).

I have a morning to kill and the forecast isn't that inspiring so this came to mind.

Is it just a case of take some tat and imagination? Full on Beta isn't necessary as surprises are nice.

Cheers.

Hi Stu,
Take a selection of hangers and bits of cord and you'll figure it out. You can also go up into the roof tube above for a really esoteric pitch. Go for a crawl up October Aven and make a proper trip of it.

Stuart,

I've not done it myself but I was in there once with Robbie Shone. Robbie was making a photograph of me on a ladder for some magazine or other and took it from the end of the Garland's traverse. He didn't take anything other than his work cow's tails, a few hangers and a couple of extra crabs. It depends how many attachment points you feel you need. Work cow's tails means 2 x long and 1 x short.

The photograph is at 1.38 on the EuroSpeleo video below.
