You know that Pay Sank also joins into the system now, thanks to the Bradford diggers? Don't know about access.

I do know that Christmas is P-bolted, but don't know about Grange Rigg. I don't appear to have any rigging information but don't recall any problems there. I imagine when I did it I took a rope for each pitch that was twice the pitch length (plus a bit on shorter pitches, less a bit on longer ones). You should be fine with that.

Here's a Grange Rogg trip report from Swaledale club that gives some detail.

Christmas has got P-bolts.
When we went we looked at NC2 and played guess the rope length, we made the mistake of not taking a spare rope or two just in case our estimates were wrong! It actually makes it more interesting guessing the lengths and not knowing what the rigging is like rather than following the dot-to-dots.

I don't have NC2 to hand so haven't a clue what pitch numbers/names are.
Heres a rough idea of what we did:
Took a 35m rope for the entrance, rigging from the surface and using all the rebelays on the way down found the rope too short! (we used rope for last pitch to get down this last bit of entrance pitch) - I would take possibly 45m for that next time I go.
We then had about 30m rope which covered the next pitch and the sloping climb to a further short pitch.
This is where it joins with Grange Rigg.
There was then another short pitch with 1 p-bolt but we managed to climb it, that was followed quickly by another short drop by this time we had run out of rope but used a few slings to climb down it, 6m rope would cover the 2nd short drop but thats just tied into 1 anchor and with no backup..
The last pitch then follows and as we had no rope left we had to make our exit, but we reckoned 10-15m rope for that.

I hesitate to say this with the on-going Charterhouse discussions on here are the moment but .... are you aware you need a permit from the Ingleborough Estate Office for Christmas and Grange Rigg? They are very quick to respond and I'd be suprised if anyone else's chosen date clashes with yours for these caves. Give them a fortnight and you should be certain of receiving your permit.

Yes I plan to get a permit when i find other people interested in the club. I reckon most cavers on gaping gill don't have permits though, same goes for easegill!
