Handy bit of kit for exploration

wouldn't wanna be the poor sod responsible for getting that bad boy through a cave to get to wherever you wanted to use it without damaging the presumably very lightweight protective frame lol (looks pretty neat though)

The web site describes the frame as "Modular design for easy maintenance". Perhaps it can be disassembled and stored in a tube with the drone part in a Peli case? Reassembling it might take a while, though.

Maybe easiest to fly it, and take a power pack in a peli case to recharge it.

I was fortunate enough to go on a short expedition to research lava tubes in Iceland last year (yes, based in the village which is currently being ripped apart!) and we had a Flyability team with us. Their scanning drone was actually incredible tech to witness, making a 3D lidar scan of the tubes as it flew down them. I saw the application to caving (especially larger passages) very relevant.

Thankfully from my perspective the equipment couldn't handle air temps higher than 50 degC so it had to stop quite quickly in most of the tubes, allowing me to go and bag the passages instead of some greedy, little, pimped-up drone.
