You may have seen in the North of England press that Heaning Wood Bone Cave has yielded 11,000 year old human remains, the oldest discovered so far in the North of England. As the location of the cave is in the public domain, the landowner (it’s in an overgrown and unused part of her garden) is concerned about intruders. The cave is an important archaeological site and permission to explore is not generally given. Please respect.
