Heavy duty caver post needed! Lincolnshire-The Dales

Ayup folk! Here's a long shot....but I'm  going to try anyway!!

I've some Scaff for Pitlamp to help him make his push in Preachers Cave safe (or safer anyway)I was supposed to take it up in the van last weekend but unfortunately couldn't make it and I'm not sure when I'll be up in the Dales next. It certainly won't be until the new year.

I would like to somehow get a couple of bucketfuls of clips and if possible about half a dozen or more lengths of pole in about 1.5m lengths from Sleaford in Lincolnshire to somewhere in the Dales where he could collect them.

Anyone heading that way over the hols? I'd be happy to take them to
Somewhere within about an hour of Sleaford. So Newark/Grantham/Boston/Lincoln all do-able guys

I Often enjoy a days walking with the dog in the peak district which is do-able for me as a day trip and would get said scaff a bit nearer so if anyone from that neck of the woods is listening and has a trip up to Yorkshire on the cards then I'm all ears!

Regards all!

Got space for them, Peak District (Chapel-en-le Frith) good dog walking country, if Pitlamp can collect in short time, I can offer space.

Thanks for your efforts Johnnyrocketboots - thanks also TJ for your kind offer to store the stuff temporarily. I don't anticipate being in the Peak District for a while so, if you can keep that offer open, it's probably slightly easier for me in the short term to wait until someone happens to be coming up in the direction of the Dales. I'll keep liaising directly with JRB in the meantime. We will find a way, sooner or later.

Hope you've got the van sorted OK now.

I am at TSG hut this Sunday (22nd) and at the CPC cottage on the 27th Dec.
Happy to drop elsewhere in the Dales.
Transit Van with roof rack.
Any use ???

That's a very generous offer Ian; thank you. CPC Cottage on 27th would be absolutely perfect! (I'll probably be going past there on the following day; you couldn't have made a better suggestion.) Can you liaise with Johnnyrocketboots re collection - and send me a PM to discuss when & where to leave the stuff at Horton?

Hi JRB

Just let me know if you can get the items to the TSG by Sunday and I will liaise with Pitlamp about getting them to him.

If you have had an offer easier for you then no problem. (Do I still get the pint for offering ?)  ;)

Cheers
Ian

JRB - don't make a special journey over to the TSG at Castleton. I'd initially assumed Ian meant delivering from Lincolnshire either to the TSG or CPC. I now realise he was offering to transfer from TSG to CPC if someone could get the stuff to him at Castleton. See what other folk are offering with their PMs and if it doesn't work out very easily, it'll wait till you're next up. The Christmas season is going to delay the project considerably anyway.

But thanks Ian - and thanks to those folk who have contacted JRB directly in efforts to help.
