Hoyle's Mouth Dig

Does anybody know who is currently involved in the dig in Hoyle's mouth cave in Tenby. Me and my brother went there today and among all the druggies rubbish there was evidence of recent digging. We intend to dig it but would not like to tread on anyone's toes. We would be looking to start work this weekend.

That's an archaeological site. Check it's not an Scheduled Monument or you could commit a criminal offence.

As Chris states, it's an archaeological site and a bat roost.  I've looked at it a couple of times and didn't think it was really worth the effort as the potential is very limited.  If you're looking for places to dig try approaching the Oakwood management because they've got a couple of sinks on their land that resurge about a mile away.  They were amenable to the idea about 20 years ago but only because they thought there might be a possible tourist attraction in it.  I didn't have the heart to tell them it was highly unlikely.
