Thinking of doing Ibbeth Peril now there's a dry spell but get contrasting advice from different people as to the flood risk. Any comments from seasoned perillers?

I did it in weather similar to this a few years back and it is fine. The cave is not very big and we spent no more than an hour down it looking at formations, although we only did Ibbeth Peril 1. The entrance is the bit that floods as it is quite small and next to the waterfall, once inside there is loads of room and plenty of places to sit out a flood.

if you've not been before I'd make sure that you climb up next to the waterfall and see the passage above it, it is a fantastic piece of passage but we were there in early May and it stank of sewage so I'd be careful of any cuts/ eating foos whilst hanging around the system- the dry spell probably means it hasn' been washed out for quite a while.

There is also an interested rift passage to explore which runs below the chamber at the far end and is accessible from a number of different holes in the floor of the chamber. :)
