It would be the only dig where you used a blow torch...  8)

Using a blow torch for digging has been used on Mendip.

Skiddy was working the rift (above the pitch) in Drunkards by heating the rock with a blow torch and then throwing cold water onto it to crack the rock by thermal shock. The progress was measured in inches, or fractions of an inch per trip.

We later took over the dig and applied a much faster rock removal method, thus opening the way to the pitch.
