 Just had a question via our website (BRCC) asking for info on where a group of Newcaste lads (youths/kids/whatever??) can do some indoor caving

I seem to recall that there was a facility somewhere, but am unsure where.  Any info glady accepted  (y)

I have replied asking why they don't want to try the real thing but as yet don not know the answer

I certainly know of a Scout site in west yorkshire that has an 'indoor cave'...

but the 'real thing' is nearer

Didn't Steve Round (Bearnies) get stuck in an indoor cave on it's inaugreal weekend? Or was that someone else? Was it in here?

here's one
There a several others brought up by googling Indoor cave.

No idea how good they are though.

When I did an SRT course (recommended) at Ingleborough Hall, I think someone mentioned that they had occasionally run underground sessions for resident schoolkids in the (extensive) cellars. Can't remember details - think it might have been as a substitute for another activity in prohibitively bad weather.
