IPX 8 and Fenix flashlights

I heard a strange rattling sound coming from the washing machine this morning. After removing my (sweet smelling) oversuit I saw my fenix E01 sitting in the bottom of the drum. This tiny torch usually lives on a length of paracord around my neck and under my furry.

Turned it on and it sparked up without issue. Dry as a bone inside. I don't know how the advertised IPX8 standard compares to an hour long 40 degree cycle with detergent but it certainly inspires confidence. Not bad for a tenner.
