Got the book "It's only a game" for Xmas. Brilliant read, done in 24hrs! Really couldn't put it down. Highlight was his tale of a stripper and a coin...go and read for yourself!! Hopefully a part two will emerge as this book deals with life up to the '60s.
Of topical interest was some of the vernacular used especially a name Lancastrians appear to use for Gypsy's - "charber". Bit close to Chav commonly used name for those herberts who frequent shopping arcades clad in Burberry and cheap Argos gold. Is there some direct link?
