Knee pads

I wear two pairs of Warmbac kneepads. The lower pair are non adjustable, and never really wear out. The top pair have adjustable velcro straps, and have extra neoprene from an old wetsuit sikaflexed on top, with that neoprene pad also coated in sikaflex on top.
Three years of wear so far, with a bit of sikaflex reapplied when necessary. A bonus is that you then also have a spare pair of kneepads for when your mate occasionally forgets / loses their's.

Just applied some ETB to my oversuit and it works well. I got black becuase that's all there was in stock but clear is probably better so it doesn't look quite so awful.

Just out of interest, what do you use to apply this stuff to the surface with?

Like any good night in; a pair of nitrile gloves and a couple of fingers.

Yes, or any old bit of plastic as a spatula (old BCA card?!).

I recently grouted some tiles at the TSG Chapel with a BCA card, so they are very much multipurpose!

Personally, I'd say the solution to that is to have a black oversuit...

You could cover the whole suit with it. In fact if you roll around in carborundum grit immediately afterwards you'll have the most impregnable suit known to mankind.
You could enlarge tight squeezes in minutes ;)
