Landjoff PVC oversuits

Can't comment on their suits, but I have one of their Bolt bags and although they are reasonably well made, they are very lightweight and fragile-looking....

Pete,

Just out of interest, how much did you pay for shipping. I'm very close to taking a punt on one!

The website is a bit rubbish regarding shipping details.  I bought a heavyweight bag through the website, it cost 8 quid to ship, arrived in 6 days.  They are good at replying to English email queries too.  It's a cheap pvc suit and comes with a repair kit too.  Not sure if that's a good thing or not though?
I will probably get one when my current suit, the warmbac pvc either falls apart or I get sick of the collar.

Postage is quoted at ?8.60. The suit isn't particularly cheap as it is much the same price as the Warmbac one, but I was wondering if it is a better suit.

ianball11, And -

Yeah I'd found their shipping info page pretty vague and unhelpful too. Was concerned they might stick a lot of postage on and make it less of a good deal. If it's around a tenner I'd be happy.
It looks a lot more like an old meander what with the velcro cuffs and intergrated hood, two things that put me off the warmbac. It's designed to be used underground so you'd hope it would last a reasonable length of time...

I regard the Warmbac suit as cheap compared to the cost of the alternative Lyon suit when that was released.

Interestingly it appears from the Landjoff site that you could get a custom sized suit for ?6 extra.

I took a punt on one of these and it just had its first trip on Saturday. The material feels closer to a Meander (which I got it to replace) than the Warmbac PVC suits. There is one pocket on the inside, none on the outside and the seams are sewn rather than welded. It also comes with a repair kit.

On the sizing front, according to the table on their website, at 6ft and 70kg I was just in the Large category. It's a tiny bit baggy on me, but the torso length is about right so I'm happy enough and will focus on eating more pies. The arms are about the right length for me, but the legs are about 6 inches too long though so will need a trim!

Can't really comment on how tough it is, but it survived a fairly gnarly first trip.

I'm happy with it so far. My only complaint is that when it arrived it stank of cigarette smoke!
