Large Sinkhole opens up in Otford, Kent

Can't find anything on my maps about Otford as it's comes under a different supplier unfortunately.
Several chalk adit's in the South East/Sussex though.

In the same issues of Cave & Karst Science, there was an update on the caves and karst in the Chalk of the Eastbourne_Brighton area.
https://bcra.org.uk/pub/candks/index.html?j=143. I suspect that there are new several entrances at the western end of Beachy Head Cave where the original survey shows it comes pretty close to the cliff.

That’s actually what I was going to have a look at when I took the photo. We went twice and found what I’m pretty sure is the holes mentioned (the first time we couldn’t get to them but luckily the pebbles moved and made it easier to climb up). Unfortunately they are very flat out and would require digging which feels quite sketchy beneath a crumbly cliff. Hopefully if you wait a few years the sea will do all the hard work.
