A woman (not named) has bought a three-roomed man-made cave in Worcestershire with panoramic views over the Severn and an acre of woodland. It's got no plumbing or electric but is partially carpeted and has a lockable front door. It went for 3 times the asking price of £10,000.

I always liked the idea of living in a cave. My two main contenders were Brimham Cave (about 30ft long with a small chamber and "bed"), but too many tourists; or Attermire cave (stooping passage to a roomy chamber complete with shower in corner), but a long walk to the shops.

Anyone else have a cave they'd like to live in?

If i'm not mistaken the castle is in Slovenia.
Interesting sotry....

If you cleaned all the mud out, Odin Cave would make a nice 2/3 room house witha front door and a balcony window.

This is me outside my cave. I think it is better than any that I have seen so far, not that I'm biased or anything.

How about this one.

We went there last year, there is a major river cave at the foot of the cliff. You can only go in with a guide at about £10 a head... I didn't (too mean) but others did and rated it highly...

Spain is the best for buying a cave...

They are houses cut underground in soft sandstone, very cool apperently...

Predjamski Grad. Went into the river cave which was full of bl**dy great big crayfish(no charge in the sixties..) and also into the dry cave just below the castle, which was full of bats & had an ancient skeleton in a coffin by the entrance. Quite spooky when you were the last one out & all your so-called mates had bug*ered off & left you to come out on your own...
