lost in Carlswark

somewhere in the resurgence to Carlswark is my dive knife.
Somewhere between what is currently the resurgence pool and 25m in.

1) if anyone finds it, i'd love to have it back
2) be careful when crawling through it when it dries out.

Recently? The water was pouring our of Resurgence this evening and the entrance was well under water!

yes. I don't know how often that much water comes out and i thought i'd be rude not to go for a swim.

Having driven through the dale and through the resurgence, which was still merrily resurging all over the road yesterday, it may not even be in there any more!

I would look for it in the Derwent, maybe one of the weirs in Matlock Bath??

the pressure coming up and out of the resurgence is probably not enough to push out a steel knife.
The impressive bit as it comes on to the road is mainly as it tumbles down and the surface stream looses about a metre and a bit.

Maybe take in a metal detector when (and if) it dries out? could be buried in the re-distributed mud.

Apparently its been found, so you can crawl through with less chance of getting stabbed
