LUSS

Anyone from LUSS on here I have just become a student & looking for membership.
If by LUSS you are referring to Lancaster University Speleological Society, I understand that they went into hibernation several years ago. Regrettable, as it was an excellent club, particularly in the 70s.

I was a member in the late 1980's when the club was still active, but I believe the club folded due to a combination of lack of support by the university, and lack of graduate ex-members remaining in the area willing to help run the club. I would suggest getting in contact with the Red Rose (RRCPC) as a very active Lancashire club with members located in the area.

Hi ron
If you mean leeds rather than lancaster im secretery of LUUSS youre more than welcome to join!

Thanks for the offer alas it was Lancaster I was enquiring about.
I already have the membership of two very good clubs, just thought the uni club might offer some interesting trips  :o

Sounds like you are perfectly qualified to resurrect the student club at Lancaster Uni. and get some more young blood into caving again!

I met a few Lancaster Uni cavers at the first CHECC in South wales, that was maybe 2003? Didn't get a contact or anything.
