I doubt if there will be any written records of any diving that took place in Dido's.  Therefore we need to rely on someone trawling up the info from their memory - Is there anyone out there who knows anything about the SUSS dives that took place?

I recall Chris (Tunnel Tiger) Rhodes doing stuff down there in the early '80's, check out the TSG log books.

His Royal Humane Society medal for rescuing the boy scout used to be on the wall in the Peak Hotel, don't know where it is now.

Didos correctly used means Hagg Mine, as in, not the didos the scout was rescued from.

To clarify what AH has said


?Hagg Mine (a.k.a Didos) as shown in the photos - just north of the castle wall - blocked. Is the one we need info about the alledged SUSS dives

?Nether Hagg Mine - near the weir - currently open. Is the one when Chris Rhodes and DCRO rescued the Scout.  This site has frequently (and somewhat confusingly) been referred to as Dido's when its actually Hagg Mine that is Dido's.  We have plenty of dive reports about activities in Nether Hagg Mine.
