Did anyone see the Bone Detectives on Quest Wednesday night?  They were in a cave called Midnight Terror (named by the locals apparently) in Guatemala, containing hundreds of Mayan bones in heaps.  The cave consisted of a "ten storey" descent into a fabulously decorated series of chambers.  However the cave was not quite as fabulously decorated as it was before the programme as there was footage of premier big-headed and thoroughly nauseating (IMHO) presenter Scotty Moore hammering at the base of a 5ft stalagmite which promptly broke into several pieces.  These were then taken to "the lab" a short distance away, where a UV light was passed over the bits to show the effects of climate change, revealing something that they already knew - there were droughts over a number of years.  Apart from the programme looking suspiciously staged (much wandering about in circles, at one point an exclamation of "I don't think anyone's been here before" with a bit of handline clearly visible in the background and other sundry ridiculous comments from Scotty), showing someone battering formations to death I think was an unacceptable bit of telly.

My overall comment:  puerile shite.

Don't think I get "quest" on free view, judging by the responses it does not seem to be a popular channel.

And it's not worth watching.

Bit like that 'Extreme Archaeology' fiasco that was on a few years back. Scotty Moore is, im my humble opinion, the most irritating and vacuous presenter on current TV.
