Inglesport certainly sold them the last time I was in there, but they weren't exactly cheap.

Worth giving them a ring perhaps?

Left - field idea (if Inglesport *can't* help, I expect they will) why not use velcro?

You can buy it from Pennine Outdoors in Bentham, and it would be a very simple sewing job to make somethink akin to the arrangement on the Warmbac neoprene pads. I know that a few folks still have misgivings, but actually it's a very strong arrangement.

Only issue to deal with, is that neoprene stretches but the miner's pads won't - so I don't know if the velcro would cut in more...If you have to give it a try, let us know?

how about sewing a patch of velcro on your oversuit, then sticking the opposite patch on your pads as per motorbike kneesliders?

Hang on, that's actually a workable idea! I'll settle for 20% commission.......

Years ago when we all wore boilersuits on top (cotton, 100oC wash, no worry about carbon footprints in those days) I sewed a big square pocket of denim over each knee and stuffed squares of neoprene in them. They were held in place by the top of the pocket only being open for about half the width, the neoprene, this seemed to retain them OK. The only problem was that the pads always seemed to be a little too high or a little too low.

After a few months I could not be bothered with them, so four decades later I have knackered knees.

Burt thats a great idea it may solve my problem of always finding my knee pads have moved and taken up residence in my wellies! Reckon Velcro would stop this migration?

Just get a dog's bollocks pair from the manufacturer - they cost less than warmbacs and protect your knees really well.

check out the legs too :)  Are the shorts essential to the functioning of the pads?  ;)

I will let you know how my build goes...

I love my miners kneepads to bits.
I replace straps with velcro
To stop them slipping (as much) I cross the straps over - top strap fixes to bottom, bottom fixes to top - this is apparently an old miners trick
