New Cavers - pointers

There are two of us that are just getting interested in caving and want to get more involved (alot more - been underground recently and loved it! The most fun we`ve had with our clothes on!) - are there any groups in the East Midlands it would be worth contacting that we can hook up with or at least get some info from?
What about getting underground in Derbyshire or nearby, are there any "easy caves" for people that just want a wriggle and squeeze ;)
Many Thanks in advance

The best thing to do is join a caving club. Try www.orpheuscavingclub.co.uk or have a look at the links section in this Forum for others.

Yep - plenty to go at in derbyshire on the wriggling and squeezing front - especially if you dont mind getting muddy.

As paul says - best way to meet people and get to know the caves and areas is to join a club. That way you can meet like minded people - gain the experience, knolegdge and confidence to start going (safely) on your own.

There are several in the Peak, Orpheus, Crewe, Pegasus, TSG and Eldon are all active.

Go for it - get out and enjoy yourselves :D

Did try to get hold of Orpheus - but didn`t hear anything back from them...

Sorry you didn't get a reply. Send me a Personal Message about the Orpheus and I'll make sure you get a reply! (I'm a member).

Did you send an email re the Orpheus? If so to whom?
