Next CSCC meeting

Does anyone know if when the next CSCC meeting is and if there are minutes from the last one?

The Agenda from the last meeting proposes 2nd Aug as next meeting date.

Is there an agenda for the next CSCC meeting.( potentially less than 1 week away)
I cant see anything on the Website.

I'm sure something has gone round the CSCC mailing list.  Perhaps you should ask your club Secretary - or isn't the Craven a member of CSCC? :-\

Hi Carmen:  I have been reliably informed by my digging compadres, that there is a CSCC meeting tomorrow. Apparently the hot topic of debate is the CROW act.

Looks like us normal cavers are about to be showered with the benefits of  further cretinous manouverings by the "Stobartistas"!

As far as the latest and previous political crap goes; I comment as follows.

"Until cavers return to the former generally accepted view, that the urge to indulge in caving politics is a psychiatric disorder in its own right, like the urge to sexual congress with children or the taste for rubber underwear, there will always be the danger of circumstances arising which persuade normally rational cavers to start listening to caving politicians and taking them seriously" (with apologies to the late Auberon Waugh).

Note! I and my colleagues normally park in the Hunters car park on a saturday when digging Halloween Rift, If vast numbers of politicians; in particular, "stobartistas" are attending tomorrows meeting;  could you please keep out of the way as we don't wish to soil our footwear!

So refreshing to know the old BEC spirit still lives , Do I know you??.

So refreshing to know the old BEC spirit still lives , Do I know you??.

I'm afraid the old anarchic BEC spirit is a faintly guttering candle these days. 

"Stobartistas " is a derogatory term invented by myself to describe caving politicians; in particular those who formed the BCA.

The phrase expresses my own humble opinion, that BCA caaving politicians (who obviously  prefer to spend their weekends and spare time driving up and down the M6 ), would do us all a favour and achieve the same effect , by leaving off caving and joining the Eddie Stobart Fan Club!  Just an Idea?

Sorry Alex, name doesn't ring a bell, but then I've got a notoriously bad memory for names, but I can tell you had your BEC upbringing from JRat et. al. if you can't recall the Bograt, I'm before your time (late '70's, 80's)

It seems the old time caving ethos has passed on, I miss it seriously

Please keep up the anarchy, just to remind me of the good times
