    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Nice easy dry cave to take my 4 year old to?

Hey everybody

Rather than get dragged along 'holiday clothes shopping' this weekend, and given that I need to get down to MCG to hand my application form and payment in. I have (nearly) negotiated taking my 4 year old on a day trip to Mendip with me.

I have options of obviously going to Gough's or Cox's but I'd quite like to take her 'proper' caving but not somewhere where she would get wet and miserable, I'm planning on sticking her down Runscar & Thistle in August so I don't want anything that'll freak her out! And no Chris, you can't use her to help dig Grebe

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Kind regards
Damian

Loxton is lovely, you will need a key and might have to dig away the leaf debris to get the gate open.  look for the cave pearls. Then Denny's Hole, a hand line is useful in the entrance and a walk up the hill after.  ;)

Lots of interesting critters around to look at too  :doubt:

I've taken my kids when they were five into Goatchurch with no problems. Swildon's upper series is also good, though a bit harder.
