Nova 3 battery box.

My Nova 3 is falling apart at the socket, like they do.

I am thinking of replacing socket with a different type but could do with a couple of the battery boxs that you can get for the Nova that take Duracell Batteries. This is to allow for my inevitable cock ups.

Anyone have a spare box knocking around in a cupboard?

One thing to bear in mind is that at least some, possibly all, the boxes for flatpack batteries had an integral diode that prevents a battery pack inside them being charged via the connection.

The lack of replacement lenses for the light itself will eventually mean I have to retire the light.

Any modern replacement will likely be an upgrade in power/output terms due to advances in technology.

With current LEDs, it's possible to get something like twice the light for half the power consumption of a Nova 3.
