Located in the same quarry as Daren Cilau; a fairly obvious entrance at the foot of the cliff (like Daren). A notable feature is the tight corkscrew squeeze that is encountered not far into the cave. I've been there a few times when people have failed to get through it.

There is a survey in a CSS journal on the caves of the Llangattock Escarpment, which also contains a survey of Ogof Clogwyn. You might have to work hard to track down a copy, though CSS are sure to have some.

A good cave, well worth visiting.

I agree.  It's an interesting cave, the corkscrew squeeze tends be more difficult on the way out (it was for me) and there are a further couple of squeezes further into the cave with some roomier sections.  Total length is about 400 metres with little in the way of side passages.  It may end in a choke but I can't really remember.

anyone got anything on this cave? surveys maps etc... how to find it?

From the tree just above the public carpark walk straight up the hill. When you approach the quarry I think it's off slightly to the left (but hope to be corrected!) You know it's right because, after a stoop to get in, you can stand up in a lovely chamber and have to go right and then drop down a very shiney squeeze with a little puddle that your knees always end up falling into IIRC.

When you get to what you might think is the end of the cave, drop down to the right into a sloping bedding chamber. The way on into the (slightly) pretty extension is to go through a crawly section and up into another chamber. Worth the effort.

Really nice cave, taken novices and freshers there. Leggy sometime needed on the way up the corkscrew for beginers and the puddle after the first chamber some times gets big enough to get you wet. Not many formations but you can get under a false floor towards the end and there often bats etc down there and its squeezy. The rest seemed fairly spacious.
