Old glass bottle question

I have a fragment of glass here from one of those old bottles which were sealed with a marble stopper.

What writing there is says:

. . DHAM BROS . .

Below this there's a tiny raised lion emblem, to the right of which it says: "LION . . .

This is a long shot but I know there are a few keen bottle collectors on here. Can anyone identify this bottle from the scant information? More importantly, can you tell me the likely date of the bottle? I'm trying to learn when it was dropped down a pothole in the Dales.

Can't really help, Pitlamp, but Codd-neck bottles were patented in 1872.

Could it be Lees Oldham beer?

The style of neck dates a Codd bottle. Yes patented in 1872 but used up to WW1. Will put the query on the bottle forum.

Possibly more red herring type stuff but Fulfords seem to have had a Lion Mineral Works and to have put lions on their bottles (picture of one shown below)

That lion emblem does look very much like the one on this bottle fragment!
