Quick question to anybody who is on line and knows. How long does a trip to the end of Pant Mawr plus a look around take?

Starting from the bottom of the shaft, I would give a minimum of two hours to have a relaxed look around. Obviously, the time taken to get the group up and down will depend on how many you are. Do you want to know how long it takes to walk to the entrance?

Thanks for advice. I have never been there and as there are over 20 DSS members in S Wales this week end it is likely at least one party will go there - I hope!

Just to add, it is P-bolted, and has two stakes at top to rope down the slope then 4 bolts in good nick for two re-belays and a nice free hang. There is a really pretty bit a lot of people miss on a first trip, pm me and i will tell you where it is as i dont want everyone on here seeing for traffic reasons.

DSS didn't take ladders so couldn't do it! It awaits another  Welsh trip. However nice trip doing the Nave abseil to the streamway that I hadn't done before plus a trip to top waterfall (ditto) then out via Maypole where I got very confused!  Thought I would have no problems as was the main route finder last year but at the point where the passage enlarged couldn't find a visual match for the final climb up round the boulders. Some slippery stressy time later with no boulders visible climbed to the top traversed off and we took a definitely different route to the Crossroads. I am still wondering where I was - the survey is no help at all!

The survey is piss poor around there, but there is a nice little route that brings you out further up Salubrious.
