    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Parking at Gentlewoman's & Jug holes.

Just a note to all cavers please be aware that parking for either GW's or Jug holes is to be restricted to the side of the road opposite the farmers track entrance, not the wide entrance itself!
Was there Saturday 19th and upon collecting our rope at GW's came across a rather angry farmer. Turns out someone had parked their car abreast another on the corner to the track, and thus denied access to his hay bailer. I think he was ready to drag the car down the road with his 4x4! He stated there is a lot of 'spare' room on this track entrance to allow large machinery access. He has no problem with people parking opposite by the hedge.
I promised him I would say something as it was almost certainly a caver, there was a second rope down Gentlewoman's. Plenty of room in the designated area on the side of the road.

Olly.
