This year, Peter Harvey decided to stand down as our Club President having held the post since 1976.

Along with Ian Nixon, Peter discovered Ogof Ffynnon Ddu in 1946, and only relatively recently stopped caving.

We have put many of Peter's memoirs, accounts and photographs on our website, with many thanks to Jem Rowland who has been patiently transcribing and compiling it all.

Its fascinating stuff and well worth a long browse with cup of tea or pint.  Enjoy!

Well, there's the local lady to whom Peter used to give cabbages - and what her son said one night in the Ancient Briton.  :o That would have been some time in the mid-eighties

If you say so ...

Peter walked out of the pub, to see the lady whom he was supplying with cabbages (not a euphemism) and the chap turned round to the assembled throng (the room was packed) and said in a loud, clear voice:

Do you realise that man is ******* my mother?

Yes, I agree, fantastic read, took me all morning, but it was worth it.  Should be published as a book.  Now that hjas given me an idea. ;D
